Dance Festival 2017

Thursday 29th June, it was time to entertain everyone at our Dance Festival which was themed around Roald Dahl.

500+ of our children entertained their families and friends - dancing to stories told by Roald Dahl including The Enormous Crocodile, Matilda and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Our choir, led by Mrs Goulding, sang beautifully at the start of the evening and then everyone was treated to dances from every year group from Reception upwards. Miss Banks was extremely proud of all the children who performed confidently on such a large stage.

We were joined by special guests including the Mayor and Mayoress of Wigan, who happily posed for photographs with our competition winners Megan and Sam, James Winterbottom, Director of Children's Services for Wigan Council accompanied by his daughter, and ex pupil Liam Marshall from Wigan Warriors who had danced in our very first Dance Festival 12 years ago!

The whole school sang in the finale in a very atmospheric, darkened arena lit only by glow sticks and mobile phone lights.

Thank you to everyone who came to see our production - we hope you all enjoyed it!

Here are a selection of photographs from our final dress rehearsals.

We would love to hear from you
