PTFA

We made a fantastic start to the 2019 Autumn term and really hit the ground running with our PTFA events. Our fun-packed Family Night started off PTFA proceedings and together we raised over £280. Following that were our ever-popular Christmas events such as Santa Story Time, Christmas Discos and the Christmas Fair which, thanks to your generosity, helped us raise over £3000. We can’t thank you enough for your contributions and support for all of these events.

One of the best things about being a member of the PTFA is seeing our children reap the benefits of these funds. This year, the PTFA contributed to the Life Caravan which visited school in November. The children always love to experience the caravan; learning about the human body in this alternative setting. We also bought ‘Reading for Pleasure’ book boxes for each class, so that they can experience a wider range of stories and factual books, in addition to their home/school reading books. The PTFA presented the book boxes in assembly and seeing the children so enthusiastic about the new books was really special.

As always, none of this could happen without the hard work and commitment from our team. The PTFA team are a superb group of parents, grandparents, teachers and friends of the school who dedicate a lot of their spare time to planning, organising and running events both in school and outside of school. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to fund projects, activities and purchases that are vital to enriching our childrens’ school lives. Thank you to every single one of you on the amazing team! If you would like to be a part of it and join the PTFA, please contact school. We meet once a month during term time on Mondays at 6:15pm; our meetings usually last for about an hour. Any level of commitment is gratefully received, so please have a chat to anyone on the team to find out more.

We have lots of events coming up in the next few weeks and hope to see you there for more fun, games and all important fundraising!
